Sportaloosa success at Colourama 2011Eldorado L'il Miss Henry and her daughter Little Miss Leuwin (both owned by Leane Williams) did the Sportaloosas proud at Colourama this year. She then competed under saddle for the first time ever, ridden by Ben and taking away champion ridden Sportaloosa mare, supreme champion ridden Sportaloosa AND then repeated this feat in the Appaloosa classes! Also competing was Helena Shanal's Successful Strides Fine Print, who won the Sportaloosa filly class and took reserve champion mare. Congratulations on some great results everyone! |

Avenlee Dualling Thunder reining successA significant milestone was reached by Sportaloosa International, when Heather Lee and the gorgeous leopard branded Sportaloosa stallion Avenlee Dualling Thunder (76 studbook 2), became the first combination to achieve a top 10 placing in a disciplines State or National Championship! Heather finished 7th in The Qld reining Championships, with a score of 65. Her second run saw her take 4th place! This outstanding result is even more special when one considers that the stallion was the only app out of aprox 150 horses present at the Gatton Show grounds. He looked absolutely stunning in the prize giving line up and a number of people even asked about the Sportaloosa Brand, which he wears with pride! |

El Dorado Lil Miss Henry and Leane Williams have made a fantastic return to the open dressage scene! At the 2011 Audie Mansfield dressage futurity in Gatton, this stunning dun Sportaloosa mare has beaten the odds to achieve a score in the 60s , a top 10 placing, and achieved a qualification in her first competition back, after time off for maternity leave, beautifully and tactfully ridden by Leane Williams. This is a really outstanding achievement. Over the past 4 years , Miss Henry has raised 3 foals, who have all gone on to great things including AAA National Titles, State AAA titles, Royal Show wins, and Multiple Supremes at open young stock shows. Her foals are By Royal Decree, Little Miss Leuwin (see below for Youngstock results) and of course Little Miss Behavin , who is one of the beautiful young horses available on the Sportaloosa Auction website. Congratulations on an awesome result! |
Huge success for Sportaloosas at the Toowoomba 2011 youngstock classesNot only did the leopard Knabstrupper x Appaloosa Cayuse Edward X take out Champion Sportaloosa, with Leane Williams' Appaloosa x Warmblood blanketed Little Miss Leuwin Reserve Champion but these 2 very classy Sportaloosas showed the warmbloods a thing or two! In the futurities Edward X managed two 4ths out of 27, followed by reserve champion warmblood male! To top it all off, Little Miss Leuwin shown by Ben O'Sullivan took out reserve champion warmblood female! There were 23 warmbloods at the show so this is an OUTSTANDING result for Sportaloosas in open company. We couldn't be more proud of Samantha, Leane and Ben - congratulations everyone! |
