There are so many benefits, it’s amazing it doesn’t cost anything for registered foals to enter.
This year's judge: renowned international horseman Ian Francis
What do you need to do?
Wait until your foal is looking extra good: sleek, shiny and about 6 months old
Film him/her at liberty, showing walk, trot and canter as well as views from either side, front and back
Make sure you have your back to the sun and use your zoom, so the judge gets a good, clear view
The best time to film is in the early evening, when the light is soft.
Edit your video to include only the best bits; a maximum of 5 minutes long
There's a viewers' choice award for the best made video, so put in a good effort!
Send it on DVD or CD to your nearest Sportaloosa office before 30 March 2012 along with your foal's registration (if not already done)

De Cleermaecker was impressed by the line up of quality foals presented to him for assessment in the inaugural Sportaloosa foal futurity, saying he saw an excellent future for the Sportaloosa breed in performance events.
All entrants were assessed on their frame, movement and potential as riding horses. “All placegetters had a very good build and I see an excellent future for these in under saddle work and competition. I also thought they had very pleasing colours and see an excellent future for the Sportaloosa breed in performance.”
The award for the best made video also went to CA Entourage, video by Debra and Tanya Bawden. Congratulations and thank you to all entrants for an exceptional effort presenting top quality spotted foals.
